The Anchor Joining Shackle, commonly known as the end shackle, is generally used to connect the crown shackle of the anchor to the open end link of a swivel forerunner assembly. They are also commonly found as a connection in mooring systems.
The pin of the anchor shackle is oval in profile to prevent premature wear of the shackle pin and is secured in place with a tapered pin.
